In order to eliminate hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition and rural poverty, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) partnered with Leventis Foundation (Nigeria) to train farmers in Kaduna in vegetable production. A total of 410 participants benefited from this training.
The Training of Trainer (TOT) covered Best Agronomic Practices (BAP), harvesting techniques, farm records, book keeping and cash flow analysis, credit sourcing and financial security, risk management, preparation of bankable business plans, formation and management of cooperatives, processing, storage and marketing and off season activities.
