Dr. Hope Usieta
Executive Director



Hope holds a PhD in Zoology (with specialization in Conservation Science) from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom and a Masters in Conservation Biology from the A.P. Leventis Ornithological Research Institute, University of Jos, Nigeria.

Before joining the Leventis Foundation in 2014, Hope has been working in the Research and Development sector since 2008. He is particularly interested in identifying strategies that can increase local and global food production at minimal cost to the environment.

Dr. Felix O. Obinyan
GM (Technical & Training)


Felix obtained a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1985 and a Master’s degree in Conservation Agriculture (Environmental Control and Management) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Nigeria in 2001. He completed a doctorate degree from the University of Abuja. Felix has more than 28yrs of interdisciplinary experience in training and development projects in agriculture and environment.

He joined the Leventis Foundation as a Supervisor in the crop production department of Foundation’s Agricultural Training School, Ilesa in Osun State where he quickly rose to become the Head of Department in 1996. As a Trainer, his duties included training of youths and small holder farmers in modern agricultural practices. In 2001, Felix was promoted and posted to the Foundation’s head office in Lagos as its first Training Coordinator. He coordinated all training activities of all LFN schools in Nigeria and helped develop the present curriculum.

He was also the pioneer Chairman of the Foundation Millennium Farmer (a quarterly newsletter of the Leventis Foundation Nigeria. In 2007, Felix was posted to be the pioneer Principal of the Leventis Foundation/FCT, Agricultural Training School in Yaba, Abuja where he served for six years. He presently occupies the position of General Manager, Technical and Training.

Janet Egbe-Owoicho
Secretary/PA to the Executive Director


Janet obtained HND in Secretarial Studies from the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi in 2001, PGD in Public Administration in 2019, and MSc in Public Administration 2023. She also has a professional Diploma in computer studies with proficient knowledge of MS Word, Spreadsheet, and PowerPoint, etc.

She has over sixteen year’s cognate work experience in both public and private sectors of the economy. After her National Youth Service Corps, she gained employment with The Abuja Securities and Commodity Exchange (ASCE), a parastatal under the then Ministry of Commerce where she worked for 6 years as the Managing Director/CEO’s Secretary before moving to Oceanic Bank International Plc and worked for 3 years as an Administrative Officer of Churchgate Branch. She joined Leventis Foundation in November 2014.

Emmanuel Ikechukwu Onu
Development & Strategy Officer


Emmanuel obtained Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management in 2001 from Far Eastern University (F.E.U.) Manila, Philippines, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce with a major in Business Administration in 1997 from the University of Santo Tomas (U.S.T.) Manila, Philippines.

Emmanuel has over 10 years of work experience in both public and private sectors in the Philippines and in Nigeria. He worked with Gerardo J. Santos International Development and Management Services Inc. (a Local NGO) Manila, Philippines as an Administrative/Program Coordinating Officer.
In Nigeria, Emmanuel had worked with Cell Communications (a Network Communication Provider company) as a Customer Relations Officer ; Power Holding Company of Nigeria (former NEPA) as a Digital Meter Programmer ; Pre-pay Go Nigeria Limited (a Service Provider Company) as a Business Development Manager ; and Imo State Ministry of Finance as Analyst in the Debt Management Department.

Emmanuel is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (N.I.M.) Chartered.
As a Management and Development Professional, his interest is principally centered on seeking Evidence-Based solutions to problems as well as Managing organizations for Competitive Advantage.

Oluwatosin Omosowon
Liaison & Communication’s Officer


Tosin Omosowon serves as the liaison and communications officer for the foundation. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Prior to joining the foundation, she gained experience as a multimedia reporter at a prominent media company in Nigeria. Her skill set includes proficiency in social media management, graphic design, and content creation.

Mrs. Yusuf, Agnes O.
Principal LFN/FCTATS, Yaba, Abuja – FCT


Agnes holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management and B. Agric. Tech. (Hons.) degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension.
She has over 22 (twenty-two) years work experience in the agricultural sector having worked 6 (six) years as Agricultural Officer with the Gombe state government before joining Leventis Foundation Nigeria Ltd/Gte in the year 2007. She is an experienced administrator and manager with extensive knowledge of agricultural training, youth empowerment, agribusiness, agricultural value chains, budgeting, strategic planning, programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation, grassroots mobilization and facilitation in rural and urban areas. She is skilled in nonprofits, gender advocacy, capacity building, public speaking and has basic computer skills.

She has experience in agricultural consultancy and has being practically involved in training farmers across Nigeria.
Agnes loves working with young people, helping them build their capacity especially in the field of agriculture and providing mentorship where possible. She is the first female staff to be appointed as a Principal in the Foundation and has won several awards both locally and internationally.

Guericke Onwukeme
Principal LFN Tumu Gombe


Onwukeme Guericke Ukachukwu holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Technology (Animal science) 1995, and MSc (Monogastric nutrition) 2000, from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi. He has over two decades experience in hands on agriculture.

He was involved in training retired and retiring civil servants of Akwa Ibom state government on vacation skills in poultry, piggery and fish farming in collaboration with UNDP. He is a member of the Nigerian Society for Animal Production (NSAP).

Mr. Onwukeme joined Leventis Foundation Nigeria in 2007 as a Trainer. Presently, he is the Principal of the LFN Agricultural Training School, Tumu in Gombe state.
