AP leventis visits Leventis Foundation Nigeria

Leventis Foundation Nigeria (LFN) recently had the honour of hosting A.P. Leventis, a prominent figure in the history and operations of our foundation, to a reception and exhibition in his honor. The visit was a day of celebration, highlighting the impactful work and achievements of the Leventis Foundation Nigeria.
In his welcome remark, Executive Director of LFN, Dr Hope Ovie Usieta stated that the visit was an opportunity to celebrate and appreciate Mr Leventis’ unwavering support and vision leadership for the farmers training program and the many successes the Leventis Foundation have recorded in Nigeria.
The event featured an exhibition where LFN agribusiness school graduates, current trainees and LFN FoodLife shop showcased various agricultural products and innovations developed through the foundation’s programs. The exhibitions demonstrated our commitment to empowering young Nigerians with skills for sustainable agribusiness, promoting agriculture as a viable career choice, and enhancing food security in Nigeria.
Following the tour of the exhibition stands, Mr Leventis remarked that the agribusiness graduates are on the right path, stating that what they produce is an integral part of what is consumed, and in processing and value addition the would earn a good living.
Among the distinguished guests were Ahmed Mantey, Chairman of A.G. Leventis Ltd & Leventis Foundation Nigeria; Mr. Russell Boddy, General Manager, Leventis Overseas; Mr Phillip Hall, OBE, Chairman APLORI; Mr. Fatai Bello, Board member, Leventis Weppa Farms; His Royal Highness, Alh. Yakubu Aliyu Ndatsu, the Etsu of Yaba, FCT and several other esteemed individuals. In his speech, The Etsu of Yaba reaffirmed his community’s strong partnership and continued support for Foundation’s agricultural training school in Abuja.
The visit was more than just a celebration; it was a moment of inspiration and a reaffirmation of our shared commitment to youth economic empowerment and fostering sustainable livelihoods through agriculture. The day was marked by insightful discussions, cultural exchanges, and a collective recognition of the progress and dedication driving the foundation forward.
