LFN Agribusiness Access to Capital Programme: Call for Applications

Concessionary Seed and Business Expansion Capital (SBEC) for LFN Trainees and Ex-trainees

Leventis Foundation Nigeria (LFN) is inviting current trainees and ex-trainees of its Agricultural Training Schools to apply for the LFN Agribusiness Access to Capital Programme.

The programme is designed to support aspiring and existing agribusiness entrepreneurs with the knowledge, mentorship and access to capital needed to start, strengthen and expand sustainable agricultural businesses.

Through the programme, selected applicants will participate in business management capacity-building, mentoring and business plan development to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills, develop bankable business plans and prepare for a competitive pitching process.

Successful participants may subsequently be considered for seed capital or business expansion financing, subject to the programme’s selection process and funding criteria.

Who Can Apply?

The call is open to current trainees and ex-trainees of Leventis Foundation Nigeria Agricultural Training Schools who have an existing agribusiness or a clear and viable agribusiness startup idea.

Applicants must:

  • Be a current trainee or ex-trainee of an LFN Agricultural Training School.
  • Have an existing agribusiness or a clear business startup idea.
  • Demonstrate commitment to agriculture and entrepreneurship.
  • Complete the online application form.
  • Be willing to participate fully in all required training and mentoring activities.
  • For applicants with existing businesses, provide evidence of business registration.

What Does the Programme Offer?

Selected participants will receive support designed to strengthen their entrepreneurial capacity and improve their readiness for financing.

Business Management Capacity Building

Participants will receive practical training in key areas of business management, including business planning, financial management, marketing, operations and other essential areas for building a sustainable agribusiness.

Business Plan Development

Participants will be supported to develop or refine bankable business plans that clearly communicate their business model, market opportunity, financial requirements, growth strategy and expected impact.

Mentorship

Participants will receive guidance and mentorship to help them strengthen their business ideas, address challenges and prepare for growth.

Pitch Preparation

Participants will be prepared for a competitive pitching process, where they will present their business ideas or existing enterprises to a selection panel.

Access to Capital

Successful participants may be considered for seed capital or business expansion financing to support the establishment or growth of their agribusinesses.

NOTE: Applicants are encouraged to provide complete, accurate and detailed information. Submission of an application does not guarantee selection into the programme. All applications will undergo an initial screening based on the programme’s eligibility and selection criteria.
