TRAINER, CROP PRODUCTION & AGROFORESTRY
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Trainer in Crop Production & Agroforestry, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching and training students/trainees in both theoretical and practical aspects of crop production and agroforestry.
- Implementing Leventis Foundation’s training strategies in crop production and agroforestry.
- Participating in the curriculum review and development of the Crop Production & Agroforestry department.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school’s crop farm.
- Supervising the annual program of work in the department.
- Contributing to workshops, short courses, symposia, and seminars related to crop production and agroforestry.
- Providing input in planning, designing, and supervising the execution of departmental projects.
- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual departmental reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s (M.Sc.) degree in Agronomy, Crop Production, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in Crop Production and agroforestry.
- Proven practical knowledge and skills in crop production and agroforestry.
- Hands-on experience in relevant areas.
Experience in greenhouse farming and controlled- environment agriculture will be an added advantage.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer literacy is a must.
- Ability to speak the local language where the schools are located is an added advantage.
TRAINER, LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a trainer in Livestock production, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering practical and theoretical training in livestock production to students and trainees.
- Deliver classroom and hands-on training in livestock production (e.g., poultry, sheep, fish, swine, cattle, as applicable).
- Develop lesson plans, training materials, and practical modules.
- Supervise trainees during farm practical sessions.
- Assess and evaluate trainee performance.
- Ensure proper feeding, breeding, housing, and health management practices.
- Maintain accurate production records (feed intake, mortality, growth rate, yield, etc.).
- Implement biosecurity and animal welfare standards.
- Participate in outreach or farmer training programs when required.
- Prepare periodic reports on training activities, livestock performance, and enterprise
- Participate in departmental meetings and budget planning sessions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters (M.Sc.) degree in Animal Science, Animal Production, Veterinary Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in livestock production.
- Strong practical knowledge of modern livestock management practices.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in sustainable livestock development, including best practices in animal health, breeding, feed management, and environmentally responsible production systems.
SCHOOL NURSE
JOB DESCRIPTION
The School Nurse is responsible for supporting the health and well-being of students by providing direct health care, promoting health education, etc. The nurse collaborates with educators and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
- Screen students for vision, hearing, scoliosis, and other health issues.
- Monitor and follow up on student immunisation records in line with state or national requirements.
- Educate students and staff on health topics such as hygiene, nutrition, mental health, and disease prevention.
- Promote healthy lifestyle choices within the school community.
- Participate in developing individualised education plans (IEPs) or health plans for students with special needs.
- Monitor for signs of communicable diseases and report outbreaks to the appropriate authorities.
- Implement health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
- Serve as a liaison between school, home, and healthcare providers.
- Communicate with parents/guardians about student health issues and concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student well-being.

REQUIREMENTS:

As a Trainer in Enterprise Development, you will play a crucial role in implementing Leventis Foundation’s training strategies in the Enterprise Development department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing training strategies in Enterprise Development.
- Contributing to the curriculum review and development of the Enterprise Development department.
- Training students/trainees in theoretical and practical areas of enterprise development.

- Supervising the annual implementation of the program of work for the department.
- Contributing to Enterprise Development workshops, short courses, symposia, and seminars.
- Providing input in planning, designing, and supervising the execution of departmental projects.
- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual departmental reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s (M.Sc.) degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension & Farm Management, Food Processing & Nutrition, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years (minimum of 8 years for BSc and HND respectively) of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
- Proven practical knowledge and skills in enterprise development.
- Hands-on experience in relevant areas.
